M101- Pinwheel Galaxy

This is a glorious galaxy located in Usrsa Major that is seen face on.  It has several exstremely bright star-forming regiuons in the outer spiral arms that appear as clumps.  The thin spiral arms give it beauty. It is believed to be about 22 million light years away.
