M42- Core

M42- Orion Nebula
The Orion Nebula is the brightest nebula in the sky. The nebula is located in the constellation Orion and is the center star in Orion's belt. With the unaided eye it appears as a faint star. In a telescope or a pair of binoculars you can see the gasses reflecting the star light inside the nebula itself. It is believed that start are actually forming in the hotter region of the nebula. The picture above is the core of the nebula. There are four stars that are very close together that are at it's core. Think of it as a furnace that is creating stars.
