M81 and M82 - Galaxies

NGC 7635

Bode's galaxy M82 to the left and the cigar galaxy M81 to the right appear in Ursa Major.  The cigar galaxy is an irregular galaxy and is thought to be irregular due to a close encounter with M82 at some point in the past.  Picture was taken at Lake Granbury Texas.
