M94 - Galaxy

This is a an unusual galaxy that has a very bright core surrounded with faint spiral arms.  It is believed that the center is much older than the outer portions.  The stars at the center are cooler, thus older.  The middle portion is made of hotter blue stars that are much younger.  This may the the progressive aging of a class of galaxies.
